How do I book a dumpster?

The fastest way is to book online at Book now. Choose your dumpster size, pick your delivery date, and submit your details. You can also call us if you’d rather schedule by phone.

How far in advance should I schedule?

Booking at least a few days ahead is best, but we often have availability for next-day or same-day delivery depending on the schedule. If you need it fast, book online and add a note—or call us. Summer months are our busy time and inventory books fast. It’s better to book early in warmer months.

Do you offer same-day delivery?

Same-day delivery may be available when our route allows. Book online as early as possible and we’ll confirm the soonest delivery time. If you need it faster than the website will let you schedule, give us a call and we will try to manually work you into the schedule.

What information do you need to schedule delivery?

We’ll need the delivery address, preferred drop location (driveway/side yard/job site), the dumpster size, the type of debris, and a good contact number in case the driver has questions.

Can I request a specific delivery time?

We schedule by route and provide an estimated time. If you have a tight timeline, add a note when booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

What’s included in the rental price?

Your price includes delivery (up to 20 miles), pickup, a standard rental period, and a weight allowance (tonnage) for the selected dumpster size.

What is a “ton” and how do weight limits work?

A ton is 2,000 lbs. Each dumpster includes a set tonnage. If your load weighs more than the included amount, the landfill charges extra—those overage fees are passed through based on the actual weight.

What items add weight quickly?

Concrete, brick, block, dirt, rock, sand, and roofing shingles are the biggest weight drivers. If you’re doing a heavy-debris project, ask us which option is safest and most cost-effective.

What happens if I go over the included weight?

If your load exceeds the included tonnage, an overage charge applies based on the additional weight. Once your dumpster is scaled out at the dump, you will receive an email with the weight overage from the dump ticket and the card on file will be charged.

What can I put in the dumpster?

Most household junk, furniture, construction debris, and yard waste are allowed. For specifics, see Accepted Materials or our guide on What can go in a dumpster.

What can’t go in the dumpster?

Hazardous waste (wet paint, chemicals, oils), batteries, tires, propane tanks, and explosives typically require special disposal. If you’re unsure, ask before you load.

Can I throw away appliances?

Many appliances are allowed except those with freon. Contact us with what you’re disposing of and we’ll guide you.

Can I put mattresses and furniture in the dumpster?

Yes—mattresses, couches, chairs, and most household furniture are fine for standard dumpsters.

Where can you place the dumpster?

Most customers place the dumpster on a driveway or a flat area on private property. We can also place it on the street if your city/HOA allows it and permits are handled when required.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

We take property protection seriously and use best practices to minimize risk. Driveways can vary, so if you have newer concrete, pavers, or concerns about weight, tell us during booking so we can plan placement carefully.

How much space do I need for delivery?

You’ll want a clear, flat area with room for the dumpster plus truck access. Move vehicles and keep the approach path clear so we can place it exactly where you want it.

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

No. As long as we have clear placement instructions and the area is accessible, we can typically deliver and pick up without you being onsite. Often customers will send a text with a picture of where to place the dumpster.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Rentals include 7 calendar days. If you need additional time, you can add extra days to your order. We can also accommodate extensions based on availability. If you finish early, just let us know and we’ll be happy to schedule an earlier pickup.

Can you pick up early?

Yes—if you finish early, request pickup by emailing or texting us and we’ll schedule the soonest available route.

What can go in a concrete dumpster?

Concrete dumpsters are for clean heavy debris like broken concrete, brick, block, asphalt, and dirt (as specified). No household trash, wood, or mixed construction debris.

How full can I load the concrete dumpster?

Keep heavy-debris loads level with the fill line (not heaped). This helps ensure safe transport and avoids the need to offload material.

Is there a distance fee?

Free delivery within 20 miles. For locations outside that area, a $5 per mile fee applies (one-way distance).

Do I need a permit for a dumpster?

If the dumpster stays on private property, a permit usually isn’t required. If it will be placed on a street or public right-of-way, your city may require a permit—check with your municipality. Ann Arbor, Brighton.

What if my HOA has rules?

Some HOAs limit where a dumpster can sit or how long it can remain visible. It’s best to confirm HOA requirements before delivery and schedule pickup accordingly.

Is there a fill line?

Yes—keep debris under the fill line. Overfilled dumpsters can’t be hauled safely and may require material to be removed before pickup. This could also result in a dry run fee.

Can I move the dumpster after delivery?

No—please don’t attempt to move the dumpster. If placement needs to change, contact us and we’ll help.

Can I change my delivery date or dumpster size?

Yes—contact us as soon as possible. If we have availability, we can adjust your delivery date or swap sizes to better fit your project.

What if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel, let us know as early as possible so we can update the route. A minimum 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule a dumpster rental. Orders cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
